Earlier this Spring I had the great opportunity to collaborate with the creative power duo, Jennifer and Mark, at Social Motion Media. Their portfolio consists of multiple industries, moving media imagery for social media, storytelling, strategy, and production.

We wanted to bring something fresh to the studio shoot, that really separated a blog post from the pack. I have been extremely inspired by second-hand fashion this year and have had a re-born feeling of appreciation for what it can do to your personal style but also for the environment. It’s a sure fire way of maintaining originality, cutting down on consumerism and keeping a reasonable budget which tends to go out the window for me.

We did some test shots in my apartment which turned into a full scale production– lots of lighting equipment and my couch turned on it’s side made my living room look like a movie set. It’s without  a doubt that Jennifer’s talents are beyond exceptional,  as is her silk kimono collection. I knew it was going to be the highlight of the shoot, the colour and texture screams power. These outfits are a little unconventional for my style, but it was fun to mix my wardrobe with Jennifer’s. Together we created a new personality, much in thanks to Stef on hair and Ally on makeup during the final studio session. Enjoy xx
